Bombanana: Turkish indie hit conquered a million players in a week and a half

Lefto Studio’s indie title Bombanana has surpassed the 1 million sales mark on PC just 10 days after its release, the studio announced. The game was developed by 25-year‑old creator Ufuk Girit.

Bombanana’s premise pairs three players as a blind, a deaf and a mute monkey who must cooperate to defuse a bomb, a concept the studio credits with driving the viral success. In addition to strong sales, the game added 300,000 new users to wishlists and logged more than a million hours of viewing on Twitch.

The studio has also moved into merchandising: Lefto Studio confirmed a partnership with Youtooz to produce limited edition plush toys tied to the game.

Girit has pointed to the title’s simple mechanics and the chaotic player-driven communication they create as the main reasons for its popularity. “Seeing our project turn into such a successful launch is an incredible feeling for a small team,” shares the studio founder.
