Gozgames Studio Announced the Adventure Action-Platformer YerAna: The Tree of Life
Gozgames studio has revealed a new action-adventure platformer, YerAna: The Tree of Life, developed with the Unreal Engine.
The game follows Ana, a young shaman apprentice, who ventures through the corrupted layers of a colossal, mystical Tree of Life in search of her missing mentor, Edge — a figure known as the Daughter of Fire. Ana’s journey requires her to endure spiritual trials and to confront a spreading corruption that has unbalanced nature.
YerAna mixes space exploration with 3D platforming and spatial puzzles. Players will travel between floating islands and along the Tree’s branches, using a glider and ascending air currents to cross deep abysses and making precision jumps across platforms inscribed with magical runes. Levels feature environmental puzzles that demand activating ancient mechanisms, manipulating stone totems, and rotating discs engraved with symbols to unlock sealed doors.
Ana is accompanied by a sacred, owl-like bird that serves as a constant companion and grants a special perception ability. When this owl skill is used, the environment receives a ghostly blue outline that reveals hidden ladders, secret passages, and important interactive objects within locations.
Combat takes place in real time and emphasizes ranged spellcasting, mobility, and dodging. Armed with a magical staff, Ana fires clusters of elemental energy that can ignite or stun foes. Enemies shown include giant poisonous scorpions, shield-bearing humanoid fighters, and large boss encounters such as The Mother, a multi-eyed plant monster that forces players to keep moving around the arena.
Exploration is tied to resource collection and upgrades. Players can obtain soul essences by breaking clay jars and searching concealed corners of levels, while chests marked with special red runes are hidden atop some pillars. Story and progression are also driven by the hunt for Poison Stones and activation of sky portals that grant access to the Ancient Archives, where lost knowledge about the world is kept.
Gozgames representatives said an official project presentation is scheduled for September, with a free demo planned for Steam users in October. The studio intends to release the full title on PC as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles. The project page on Valve’s service currently shows a complete absence of Russian localization, listing only English text and voice acting. The precise full-release date and system requirements have not yet been announced.
