Rockstar Games has reportedly contacted the voice cast of Grand Theft Auto VI to remind them they remain bound by non-disclosure agreements, following what the GTAVIoclock podcast described as an early confirmation of involvement by actor Stephen Root.
Sources cited by the GTAVIoclock podcast say the studio asked performers not to disclose details about their roles and reiterated that cast announcements can only be made on November 19. That date is likely when restrictions on revealing information about the cast will be lifted.
Stephen Root has become one of the few GTA 6 actors to publicly confirm participation himself, though he has not said which character he will play. Fans previously identified his voice in one of the game’s early trailers, in the scene featuring the drug dealer Brian Heather.
Rockstar frequently casts well-known actors in its games, but to date the studio has officially disclosed only a small portion of the GTA 6 cast. Given the November 19 cutoff referenced in the message to performers, the company may be preparing a broader announcement about other project participants closer to that date.
