Azur Promilia: starting races and the hero's first companions revealed.
Manjuu Games, the studio behind Azur Promilia, has partnered with Korean publisher Nexon to reveal the first two races players will encounter: beastfolk and birdfolk. The game is set to launch on PC and mobile.
Players take on the role of an envoy who descends into the world of Promilia, tasked with quelling an approaching chaos. The story opens with a crash-landing: the elf Symphoria and the fairy Rumi were guiding the protagonist toward an elven village when an anomaly brought everyone down.
The journey then proceeds to Sharuru, a beastfolk village, before the hero travels onward to the birdfolk settlement of Gastfall. Beastfolk bear the characteristics of land animals, while birdfolk share traits with birds.
Three companions await in Sharuru:
- Terara — a wolf hunter and fire-element character with the "explosion" role. She fights with a spear and charges at enemies;
- Luruka — a young shamaness, water element, "buff" role. She summons spirit-beasts, weakens foes, and heals allies;
- Katalua — a militia member from the Crooked Horns clan. She looks menacing but is timid, and in battle shields her companions.
At Gastfall, the archer Mitty joins the party. His zeal initially leads to arguments with the group, but he conceals a kind nature, and the team accepts him as he is.
Some beastfolk reside in the city of Flis, where the maid Cashbel — a former slave — serves, and nurse Ennis works at the Kalnon clinic. A recent trailer also featured the cat Maple, who receives visitors at the adventurers' guild and grooms the fur of a kibo.
