Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will allow not only sports activities but also exploration of Uhu Island
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will expand beyond traditional mini-game competition by giving players an explorable resort environment on Uhu Island. The game's setting, the "Sprokko" resort, is designed to be more than a venue for events — it will let users wander, discover secrets, and take in the island scenery between matches.
Exploration is available by land, water and air, and the island includes a variety of interactive elements. While roaming, players can encounter dolphins, gather hibiscus flowers and other unique items, and search for special photographs of scenic spots. Those features are presented as a way to step away from sports challenges and enjoy the locale’s visuals.
Still, the sports component remains central to the experience. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will include numerous disciplines and a range of play options for both single-player and cooperative modes, online and offline. Offline modes will contain their own distinct challenges, so players aiming to finish all available content should have a substantial amount to complete.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. Alongside the competitive events, the island exploration and hidden resort features are intended to make the game function as a broader space for virtual relaxation rather than only a collection of sports mini-games.
