Polish company CD Projekt has formally wrapped up a rebrand: shareholders approved renaming the holding company to CD Projekt Red at the general meeting on 23 June 2026. Management frames this as aligning the parent Co. with its studio (CDPR), which they say should make the name easier to spot abroad and help recruit talent. The old arrangement looked odd—CD Projekt sat above as the holding entity while CD Projekt Red actually made the games—and that split often muddled things for fans and investors. This change follows earlier pruning: in late 2025 the group sold the GOG service to one of its founders, Michał Kiciński, a move toward a slimmer organization. Whether players or markets will really feel any difference is, for now, an open question.
