In the autumn of 2024, several ex-staffers from ZA/UM revealed they had launched three new studios simultaneously: Longdue Games, Dark Math Games, and Summer Eternal. The first two studios have already released their debut titles — Hopetown and Tangerine Antarctic — while Summer Eternal stayed out of the spotlight until today.
A couple of hours ago, Summer Eternal put out a short teaser and set the date for a full reveal: October 14. The teaser was posted here: , and the studio also launched a special page on its website that includes a countdown to the announcement.
The studio has confirmed that its first project is an RPG titled Red Rooster. While observers have speculated about similarities to Disco Elysium, Summer Eternal has not framed Red Rooster as a “spiritual successor” to that game.
- Argo Tuulik — one of the five key writers of Disco Elysium.
- Lenval Brown — the offscreen narrator and the voice of Harry in Disco Elysium.
- Dora Klindžić — senior writer at ZA/UM after the release of Disco Elysium. She also worked on the cancelled spin-off about Kuno.
- Anastasia Ivanova — senior concept artist at ZA/UM.
- Michael Oswell — graphic designer at ZA/UM.
A year ago, Summer Eternal began taking pre-orders for an illustrated, 500-page “Anthology” book documenting the making of Red Rooster and the studio’s formation: https://summereternal.com/anthology. The studio now says the Anthology is ready to ship and that customers who pre-ordered will receive it in time for the game announcement. In a statement, Summer Eternal wrote:

Therefore, we are taking an ambitious logistical step and organizing a global event. The Anthology will be shipped to customers on October 14, 2026, via DHL SameDay service. We are consulting with DHL logistics specialists to arrange a coordinated release of the book worldwide. Our goal is to ensure that everyone who pre-ordered receives the book within 24–48 hours, wherever they are, and together discover Red Rooster.
Learn about the creation of our first role-playing game as it should be: through tangible pages of developers' behind-the-scenes diaries, concept art, production materials, essays by specialists, previews of early builds, and a 10-inch vinyl with two original music tracks by Nemeček and Corvad.
