One More Level CEO Shimon Bryla said the path to making Valor Mortis involved some hard calls. Early builds, he explained, felt like they were missing a certain edge, so the team chose to rework the project into a first-person soulslike — a risky pivot, but one driven by the fact that many devs there are big FromSoftware fans and wanted to try that take on a format that’s scarcely represented right now. Bryla admitted the gamble made them nervous; the upbeat reaction after the 2025 announcement, however, helped quiet those doubts and made the direction feel more justified.

On Ghostrunner, Bryla was concise: the studio would be open to coming back, but the ultimate decision sits with publisher 505 Games (i.e., OML can’t greenlight a return on its own).
