The classic 2D MMORPG Dungeon Fighter Online has rolled out a new season: Sky of a Thousand Seas. It brings a fresh region and continues the main plot, but it’s not limited to story beats — expect a reworked gear loop, fresh dungeons, and a clutch of QoL tweaks plus time-limited events.
Exploration shifts to the eponymous "Sky of a Thousand Seas" and a new battlefield in Seon. Adventurers will cross paths with Myre and other allies as they try to derail the mysterious Vanitas — and yes, conflict gets personal in ways the main plot hasn’t quite hinted at yet.
A big mechanical change: the old Fusion Stone setup is gone, replaced by the Oaths equipment system. Oaths protects against duplicate drops and revolves around oath crystals you can dismantle into currency, then trade for the crystal you actually need — less RNG when farming gear, more targeted collection.
Dungeons get new entries. There’s a Hell Party type — Endkeeper of Order — and two Advanced runs: Grand Constellation Turtle Library and Castle of the Apostate. Clearing them nets upgrade stuff, notably Oath Crystals and Doom Oracles, which feed directly into the new gear progression.
Then there’s the Labyrinth of Paradox, a special dungeon that hands out bonuses across the account. Developers also added one-click tickets to collect instant rewards from daily and advanced dungeons without babysitting runs. The mercenary system lets players hire support NPCs for dungeon clears, which helps when juggling multiple heroes on the same account.
Quality-of-play features include a Skill Chain system that lets several skills share a single keybind, and the Arad Odyssey mode to speed up new-char development (faster lvl gains, streamlined progression).
To mark the season’s debut, the devs have staged several in-game events and participation rewards — login and event prizes, limited-time activities.
