Analysts evaluated sales of marvels spider man 2 after the release of spider man new day

Spider-Man: A New Day gave Marvel’s Spider-Man games a clear lift — not only more online players, but also stronger sales.

Per data from Alinea Analytics, since the movie hit theaters an extra 316 thousand copies of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have moved. That amounts to north of $11M in revenue on PS5 and Steam in under two weeks. Roughly 20% of the PS5 purchases were physical discs. An additional ~274k folks launched the game for the first time via PlayStation Plus.

Total circulation now tops 18.2M copies, with over 92% on PS5. The title has brought its creators more than $1.2B — which, frankly, is a lot of zeros and a little dizzying. Alinea Analytics also reports DAUs exceeded 1M this past weekend for the first time since release, about 2.6x the daily activity before the "A New Day" run started.

By the way, even before the premiere of "Spider-Man: A New Day," the creators of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 added new suits for Peter Parker in the game — neat timing, no?
