Activision will support a Microsoft promotional effort by tying an Xbox-only visual variant to a pre-order bonus for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
The company introduced the Inner Circuit weapon blueprint for the M4 rifle ahead of Modern Warfare 4’s release. That blueprint will be granted to any player who pre-orders Modern Warfare 4, independent of the platform they choose. However, the M4’s appearance will differ by platform.
Players on Xbox will see a unique skin for the rifle inspired by the original Xbox console, rendered in translucent green plastic. The in-game store will also display the Xbox logo and the inscription “Xbox 25” to mark the brand’s 25th anniversary. On PC, PS5, and Switch 2 the Inner Circuit M4 will instead appear as a standard gray model; the Xbox-specific look will not be visible on those platforms.
