Don’t hold your breath for more Peter Parker right away. After the last Tom Holland-led entries there was a 5 yrs gap, and another long pause seems likely. Fans will grumble (I can already hear it), because the director, Destin Daniel Cretton, isn’t sticking around in the MCU for the foreseeable future.
Cretton is slated to start shooting a live-action adaptation of the cult manga/anime Naruto in H1 2027. He'd already signed on with Lionsgate before he took the new Spider-Man, and the smash performance of A New Day only raised his profile — which, in plain human terms, means Lionsgate now has a hot director for an ambitious franchise.
