Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations Expansion Gets Free November Update With Slaughter Mode
id Software has revealed that a free update is coming to the Revelations expansion for Doom: The Dark Ages this November. The headline addition is Slaughter Mode, a single-player arcade experience built around progression and replayability.
Details were shared during the Slayers Club Live livestream, where game director Hugo Martin discussed the new content. In Slaughter Mode, players face endless waves of demons that grow steadily more dangerous across special arenas. The goal is to survive as many rounds as possible and rack up points, with personal bests serving as the measure of success. Cosmetic rewards can be unlocked by completing successful runs.
While November remains the target window for the update, id Software has not yet confirmed a specific release date.
