Naughty Dog to reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027
Naughty Dog's next major title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, won't be receiving a full-scale showcase this year. Studio head Neil Druckmann explained that the team needs additional time to get the project "up to scratch." His comments came following The Last of Us Day event, where several new projects set in The Last of Us universe were also unveiled.
Druckmann confirmed the studio's plan to stay quiet for the remainder of 2026, stating: "We will remain silent until the end of this year." He indicated that this will change in 2027, when players will finally get a "proper look" at what he described as Naughty Dog's "most ambitious game" to date.
Addressing the extended gap since the last update, Druckmann said:
We know that quite a lot of time has passed since we shared news with you. We deeply appreciate your unwavering support. We are working incredibly hard to create a project worthy of your patience.
Alongside the announcement, Naughty Dog released new concept art featuring the game's protagonist, Jordan, standing on the surface of the planet Sempiria.
