The fifteenth The International — the biggest, most-watched event for Dota 2 — has concluded in Shanghai. A rare sight: the CIS region filled the top four spots.
Team Spirit came out on top. They clawed their way through mostly the lower bracket and then edged TEAM VISION 3:2 in the finals (vs. TEAM VISION). That win makes them the first three-time champions in Dota 2 history — previous TI titles were in 2021 and 2023.
Prize note: Team Spirit will pocket roughly $1.5M (about 42.5% of the pool, i.e., w/ ~42.5%). Strange contrast: at TI 2021 the same roster’s payout exceeded $18M.

The Aegis now bears the names of this year’s winners. On it you’ll find Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk and Magomed Collapse Khalilov — both three-time champions. Yaroslav Miposhka Naidenov also reaches a third TI title, but note: he was the team coach in 2026 (not a player, as in 2021 and 2023). For Denis Larl Sigitov this is the second TI victory. Meanwhile, Alexey not me Kosmynin and Alexander rue Filin become champions for the first time.
And there’s a bonus story: Team Spirit’s banner flew in Paris too. The same tag won the Counter-Strike 2 title at the Esports World Cup 2026 (beat FUT Esports) and earned $600,000. In the EWC26 club ranking they placed sixth, adding another $1.4M to their accounts.
