Two story dlcs about sephiroth and vincent confirmed for final fantasy vii revelation

Yesterday evening at the State of Play, developers from Square Enix revealed the official launch date for Final Fantasy VII Revelation and confirmed details from a recent leak about post-launch content.

The main game is slated to arrive on April 8, 2027, and will be released on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher confirmed the release will not include Russian localization.

Following launch, the team announced two story DLCs centered on Sephiroth and Vincent Valentine. Those expansions are planned to arrive sometime between December 2027 and spring 2028. Players will be able to buy each DLC individually or obtain them together via a story pass that is included with the premium edition.

Some fans have already begun speculating that the expansions might incorporate events from the Advent Children movie and the spin-off sequel Dirge of Cerberus, but Square Enix has not officially confirmed any such connections. For now, further specifics remain pending.
