Ubisoft will release a native next gen update for the tactical shooter ghost recon wildlands

The once popular open-world tactical action game Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting a technical refresh for modern consoles.

Rather than a cosmetic port, the incoming patch aims to run the title in native 4K on supported hardware. Frame pacing should feel much better too — the update targets a steady 60 fps. Audio gets attention as well; the team is adding 3D Audio spatial sound so explosions and footsteps feel more directional.

There’s also free narrative DLC: Last Rites, which extends the Bolivian operations players know. OG owners can transfer their progress and pick up the upgraded build without paying extra. Whether this will pull former players back in remains to be seen, but it’s a pleasant surprise for anyone who kept their copy.
