Apple has released ios 27 with an updated ai based siri

Apple has officially released iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and a suite of other operating system updates; the company says the updates are available to all users now.

The centerpiece of the rollout is a significantly enhanced Siri AI that Apple says is deeply integrated across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro. According to Apple, the assistant can draw on personal context from messages, emails, photos and other apps while also using broad knowledge about the world around the user.

Siri’s new capabilities extend into the Camera app: users can ask about objects or scenes in front of them and take immediate actions—Apple gives the example of splitting a bill using Apple Cash. The assistant can also recognize on-screen content and respond to questions about it.

  • Write with Siri, a tool for composing and editing text.
  • Automatic error checking powered by Apple Intelligence.
  • A new gesture to invoke Siri by swiping down from Dynamic Island.
  • On iPad and Mac, Siri is integrated into Spotlight.
  • A standalone Siri app with iCloud support that lets users adjust the assistant’s expressiveness and speaking pace.

Apple says Siri AI is available in beta and currently supports English; the company plans to add French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish in October 2026. Russian is not on the announced list. Hardware and regional limitations apply: the updated assistant is available only on iPhone 15 Pro and newer models, and Apple warns it will not function initially in the European Union and China.

Beyond Siri, Apple added a Liquid Glass transparency slider and says the updates bring faster app launches, quicker photo loading and improved AirDrop data transfer speeds.
