Polish developers at CI Games are still feeding the curiosity around Lords of the Fallen II with fresh video drops. In the past week the project surfaced twice already — once at Summer Game Fest and once during Nintendo Direct. The newest clip is a short gameplay teaser — quick cuts, brutal exchanges, a few lingering frames to show off impact. You can, e.g., look for how the animations read at close range or how the environments set the mood.
It borrows the Souls-ish DNA of the earlier Lords of the Fallen, and the team says they’ve tried to fix past stumbles after listening to feedback. Don’t expect a reinvention: the beat is familiar — slipping between two realms, fighting through monsters, pushing toward a final, punishing boss — but the new footage hints at tweaks in pacing and presentation.
A thousand years have passed since the Great Rift. For many years, Umbra devoured everything in its path, destroying peoples and civilizations, until only one kingdom remained on the sacred lands, protected by ancient power. Alas, now the place where the survivors found temporary refuge is also in danger. The light fades, and the darkness thickens. Eternal night is approaching the world. The hero must rise so that the god falls. Travel through a vast war-torn kingdom where the boundary between life and death thins with each passing day. Wander through moonlit citadels and ruins of forgotten temples, but be on your guard: death could be waiting around any corner.
CI Games' Lords of the Fallen II will be released this fall on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2, with Russian text localization (FYI).
