Forza Horizon 6 is officially gold. Alongside the announcement the studio shared a set of updates covering preload windows, the soundtrack, and some carry-over rewards for longtime players.
Forza Horizon 6 Preload
Preloading is live for anyone who pre-ordered any edition of FH6, plus PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Right now you can start the preload on PC and Xbox Series via the Xbox app; Steam users will see the preload go live soon. File sizes:
- Xbox Series X — 135 GB.
- Xbox Series S — 130 GB.
- PC — 160 GB (SSD required).
Performance modes on Xbox
Series X
- "Quality" — native 4K at 30 fps. Enhanced image quality.
- "Performance" — targeted 4K at 60 fps. Dynamic resolution scaling.
Series S
Dynamic resolution scaling is used in both modes.
- "Quality" — 1440p at 30 fps.
- "Performance" — 1080p at 60 fps.
Radio Stations
The game ships with nine radio stations in total. This release may include more tracks than previous Horizon entries — there’s a heavier J‑pop presence this time, since the festival is set in Japan, but familiar names also appear (e.g., Linkin Park, A Day To Remember, Rise Against). Expect more playlist reveals from the developer on social channels.
Forza Horizon 6 will have nine radio stations:

Accessibility options
There’s a broad set of accessibility features onboard. Highlights include a proximity sensor to catch vehicles in blind spots, a high‑contrast mode, and an exploration autopilot — pick a destination, hit go, and the car steers while you look out the window. You can fully remap ctrls, pick difficulty, tweak FOV on PC, lock speeds in offline play if you want, enable colorblind filters, etc. In short: lots of options (incl. some conveniences for players who prefer to relax while cruising).
Rewards for series veterans
If you’ve linked older Forza titles to your Xbox gamertag, the game will hand out some cars in Forza Horizon 6 as a nod to loyalty. The specific unlocks are tied to the legacy games listed below.
