On October 8th the horror calendar gets a new wound. The creators of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival surfaced with a video diary that lays out a world of endless torment — and a strange kind of pleasure.
The Cenobites (Pinhead at the center) return, but they aren’t alone. A pair of new factions has moved into the fray. The Scarlet Church’s fanatics, under Marlow, chase a sinful paradise via a mysterious artifact. Then there are the Unworthy — former humans cast out by higher powers, seeking redemption through blood (i.e., they’re driven by something like desperate penance). Facing both means flipping tactics on the fly; esp. when different enemies force you to switch roles mid-encounter.
Weapons are mundane and occult. Expect earthly arms alongside the puzzle box’s powers — reality-bending effects, sudden shifts. Combat leans into gore: brutal dismemberment is a feature, not an afterthought (I admit, that detail made me flinch). The Labyrinth itself is lethal; traps hide in plain sight and exploration demands constant vigilance.
Pre-orders for collector’s editions are live now, and they unlock unique visual appearances for your gear. If you’re into that sort of thing, the option’s there.
