"Look great": First gameplay of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes on Nintendo Switch 2 has appeared
A half-hour gameplay video showcasing the Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes running on Nintendo Switch 2 has been released online.
The footage was captured in portable mode, according to GameSpot, whose reviewer filmed the video. They observed that all three titles perform excellently and are nearly indistinguishable from their stationary platform counterparts — a contrast to Resident Evil Requiem, which fared less well in its hybrid version.
Capcom unveiled the ports during a Nintendo Direct broadcast a week prior.
Switch 2 users will get complete versions of the remakes, including every expansion.
According to Capcom, the release of these ports on the hybrid system means players can now experience every major entry in the franchise, encompassing Resident Evil Requiem and the forthcoming Resident Evil Veronica.
Digital purchases become available on October 16, 2026, with physical editions following in January 2027.
