The Blood of Dawnwalker launched just a few hours ago, and modders have already begun altering core gameplay. The most notable of these is the Better Story Timer mod, which relaxes the game's time pressure by extending Cohen’s deadline to rescue his family.
You can find the mod here: The Blood of Dawnwalker "Better Story Timer - More time for the story"
By default Cohen has 30 days to complete the story, but the mod raises that limit to 90 days; the value is adjustable through the mod’s configuration file if players prefer a different timeframe. The mod also offers options to remove time costs for using skills and abilities, and to increase the number of time segments from 8 to 32—though the author cautions that the latter change has not been fully tested.
According to early reports, the base game’s 30-day window is sufficient to finish all story quests. If the timer expires, the game does not end outright; instead, Cohen loses the opportunity to save his family. Because of that design, the mod is primarily aimed at players who want to explore the world, take on side quests, and hunt monsters at a more leisurely pace without constant concern about the in-game clock.
