Stars from "The Hateful Eight," Harry Potter films, and more to star in the Far Cry series

The cast for an upcoming anthology television adaptation of the Far Cry video game franchise has grown, according to a report in Variety.
- Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter film series)
- Jennifer Jason Leigh ("The Hateful Eight")
- Hamish Linklater ("Midnight Mass")
- Sam Spruell ("The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms")
- Jamie Demetriou ("Fleabag")
These performers will join previously revealed cast members Rob McElhenney ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), Steve Buscemi ("The Sopranos"), and Lizzy Caplan ("Mean Girls").
Production on the Far Cry series has already started. The project is being developed for FX, as previously announced, with Noah Hawley — the showrunner behind "Fargo," "Legion," and "Alien: Covenant" — serving as showrunner for the adaptation.
