The Witcher hits the table: the expansive RPG The Witcher: Legacy has won over fans

The Witcher franchise is expanding into tabletop role-playing games with the upcoming release of The Witcher: Legacy, scheduled for 2027. The project has already attracted significant attention on crowdfunding, collecting $15 million on the Gamefound platform.

Designed for solo or group play, The Witcher: Legacy supports 1–4 players and promises an extensive narrative experience: completing the main campaign is expected to take around 50 hours, while a thorough exploration of the game's world will exceed 100 hours. Developers describe the product as a dynamic "sandbox" and say it will be accompanied by a dedicated app featuring professional voice acting to enhance immersion.

The campaign also showcased a range of purchase options. The base game will retail for 109 euros. At the top end, a premium "I Want It All" set is offered for 480 euros; that edition contains a large collection of detailed miniatures, exclusive art books, additional scenarios, and unique game components.

The project is currently in a "late pledge" phase on Gamefound, enabling interested backers to pre-order before the official 2027 release.
