Ned Luke — the actor who plays Michael in GTA 5 — spent years being terrorized by vicious pranks. Not a one-off prank, but repeated swatting incidents that interrupted streams and turned his life into a parade of police show-ups.
A court doc from the U.S. DOJ reports that one of the organizers has now pleaded guilty. Sentence: 4 yrs behind bars, plus 3 yrs of strict supervised release afterward (i.e., 4 yrs + 3 yrs supervised). The convicted man cooperated, naming accomplices; law enforcement is already moving on those leads.
Luke didn’t hide his satisfaction on social media — he openly gloated and even told the man to “not drop the soap.” Crude, sure, but you can hear the relief. To be clear: the swatting stemmed from an old leak of personal info, a leak unrelated to Rockstar.
So: one person locked up, others under investigation, and a streamer finally getting some measure of comeback.
